Vhal, Candlekeep Researcher (CLB-102) is a legendary Human Wizard creature from the Commander Legends: Battle for Baldur's Gate set. It has vigilance and a tap ability that produces colorless mana equal to its toughness but restricts that mana from casting spells from your hand. It also has the “Choose a Background” companion-style ability, allowing it to serve as a commander alongside a Background enchantment.
