It exiles up to five target permanent cards from your graveyard and you separate them into two piles, then an opponent chooses one pile to return to your hand while the other goes to your graveyard. The card can be used to recover specific permanents selectively, but gives your opponent the final choice so it trades control for access to multiple targets.
