Fraying Line (CLB‑597, Rare) is an artifact from Commander Legends: Battle for Baldur's Gate with a converted mana cost of 4. When it enters the battlefield it puts a rope counter on a creature you control, and at each player's upkeep that player may pay {2} to put a rope counter on one of their creatures or else exile the artifact and all creatures without rope counters, then remove all rope counters. The card creates a shared upkeep tax choice that can protect creatures or act as a board reset tool if players decline to pay.
