Fraying Line (CLB-314) is a rare artifact from Commander Legends: Battle for Baldur's Gate. When it enters it puts a rope counter on a creature you control, and at each player's upkeep that player may pay {2} to put a rope counter on a creature they control or else the artifact exiles itself and all creatures without rope counters, then removes all rope counters. It functions as a recurring conditional board-control effect that pressures multiplayer opponents and rewards decks that can add or protect rope counters.
