Grip of Phyresis (CM2-43) is an uncommon blue instant from Commander Anthology Volume II that seizes an Equipment and makes a 0/0 black Phyrexian Germ to receive it. When cast, you gain control of target Equipment and then create the Germ token and attach that Equipment to it, which may cause the token to die immediately if the Equipment doesn’t grant toughness. This can be used to steal opponents’ equipment or to move your own Equipment onto a disposable token for strategic effects.
