Mimic Vat (C20-246) is an artifact. It can exile a nontoken creature that dies and later pay {3} and tap to create a haste token copy of the exiled card that is exiled at the next end step. The imprint choice is optional and only one card can remain exiled at a time, so trigger order and timing determine which card it holds.
