You draw cards equal to that creature's power and the creature returns to the battlefield at your next upkeep, at which point you may have to discard cards equal to its toughness. The card creates a temporary removal-and-temporal-value-swing effect useful for card advantage or triggering enter/leave-the-battlefield interactions.
