Vanish into Memory (CSP 133) is an uncommon instant from the Coldsnap expansion that exiles a target creature and draws you cards equal to that creature’s power. The exiled card returns to the battlefield under its owner’s control at your next upkeep, and when it does you must discard cards equal to that creature’s toughness. The spell creates a temporary removal-and-card-advantage window useful for protecting a creature or generating a burst of card draw at the cost of a later discard.
