Krovikan Whispers (CSP 39, foil) is an Enchantment — Aura from the Coldsnap set that enchants a creature. The controller of the Aura gains control of the enchanted creature and must pay a cumulative upkeep of either {U} or {B} each turn or risk losing the aura and later life from its age counters. If the aura is put into the graveyard from the battlefield, its controller loses 2 life for each age counter on it, creating a delayed downside tied to its cumulative upkeep.
