Essence Flare (CST-69) is a blue Enchantment — Aura from the Coldsnap Theme Decks set. It gives the enchanted creature +2/+0 while continuously placing a −0/−1 counter on that creature at the beginning of its controller’s upkeep. The counters remain even if the Aura is removed, creating a tradeoff between immediate power and gradual toughness loss.
