Blood Moon is a red enchantment that changes all nonbasic lands into Mountains, giving them the ability to tap for red mana. It costs three mana to cast and is often used to disrupt opponents' mana bases by stripping nonbasic land types and abilities. First printed in 1994 and reprinted in the 1995 Chronicles compilation, this red enchantment became notable for its straightforward but powerful effect on lands during the early years of Magic.
