Collective Defiance (OTP-21 foil) is a red sorcery from the Breaking News subset of Outlaws of Thunder Junction that uses the Escalate mechanic. When cast you choose one or more modes: make a player discard and redraw equal to cards in hand, deal 4 damage to a creature, or deal 3 damage to an opponent or planeswalker; each extra mode requires paying the escalate cost. Its flexible modal options let it function as targeted removal, direct damage to a player or planeswalker, or a disruptive hand interaction depending on deck needs.
