It gives other creatures the Food artifact type and a tap-and-sacrifice ability, has Ward requiring sacrificing a Food, and grows with two +1/+1 counters whenever a Food is put into a graveyard from the battlefield. As a 6/6 that makes creatures into repeatable life-gain/sacrifice resources, it supports sacrifice synergies and board-wide utility.
