As it resolves, you may have promised a Gift a Food to an opponent, causing them to create a Food token before the spell’s other effects; then all your creatures get +2/+0 until end of turn and, if the Food was gifted, a target creature you control also gains first strike until end of turn. The card supports aggressive combat turns by boosting power and can trade off giving an opponent a Food token to gain an additional combat benefit for one of your creatures.
