Parting Gust (BLB-24) is a white uncommon instant from Bloomburrow that uses the Gift keyword. As you cast it you may promise an opponent a tapped Fish, causing them to create a tapped 1/1 blue Fish token before the spell’s other effects; otherwise it exiles a nontoken creature and, if no gift was promised, returns that creature to the battlefield under its owner’s control with a +1/+1 counter at the beginning of the next end step. The card provides both a tempo removal option and a conditional delayed-return engine that can be used to protect your own creature or temporarily neutralize an opponent’s threat depending on whether you give the gift.
