It lets you cast instants and sorceries from your graveyard during your turn by paying 1 life in addition to their costs while replacing any card or token that would go to your graveyard with exile. It also has a sacrifice activation for {1}{R} that exiles the enchantment when it resolves, which interacts with effects that check cards moving to graveyard or exile.
