As you cast it you may promise an opponent a Gift a Food, which causes them to create a Food token as the spell resolves; the spell then gives target creature you control +2/+2 until end of turn and grants it indestructible if the Gift was promised. The card functions as a small tempo or combat trick that can also provide protection and incidental resource generation for the opponent via the Food token.
