Its base ability creates a Food token the first time one or more of your creatures die each turn, and its level abilities add a sacrifice-triggered mill effect and a late-game recursion effect that can return a creature with a finality counter if you sacrifice three other nonland permanents. The card supports sacrifice- and graveyard-focused decks by generating resources, milling opponents, and enabling creature recursion as it levels up.
