At the beginning of your upkeep it makes a target player lose 1 life if you control a green or white permanent, or 3 life if you control both a green and a white permanent. The card interacts with multicolored or color-shifting permanents to satisfy its conditions and can be used as a repeatable source of damage in decks that can reliably provide green and white permanents alongside black mana.
