Transmute Artifact (ATQ-14) is an uncommon blue sorcery from Antiquities that sacrifices an artifact to search your library for another artifact. If the found artifact's mana value is less than or equal to the sacrificed one, it enters the battlefield; if greater, you may pay the difference to put it onto the battlefield instead. The spell's sacrifice happens on resolution and the searched card entering the battlefield is not considered casting it, creating a tutor-into-play effect rather than a cast.
