Vhal, Scholar of Mortality (HBG-8b) is a legendary Human Wizard creature from the Alchemy Horizons: Baldur's Gate set. It has a specialize-triggered reanimation effect that removes all study counters from itself to return a creature card with mana value less than or equal to the number removed from a graveyard onto the battlefield under your control, and it also has {T}: draw a card, then discard a card. As a 4/4 for {2}{U}{B}, it combines graveyard recursion with card-selection utility for midrange or control strategies.
