The Speed Demon (DFT-105, foil) is a legendary Demon creature from Aetherdrift that costs {3}{B}{B} and is a 5/5 with flying and trample. It uses a tracked “speed” value that starts at 1 if you have no speed and increases on each of your turns when an opponent loses life, with a maximum of 4; at your end step you draw X cards and lose X life where X is your speed. As a legendary creature it can serve as a late-game engine and risk/reward card, accelerating card draw at the cost of life as your speed rises.
