While attached it grants protection from being attacked and gains loyalty counters whenever the equipped creature deals combat damage during your turn, and it can be attached and buff creatures with its +1 and draw/ten-mana minus abilities. Its abilities support a combo of protecting a key attacker, growing the planeswalker, and converting loyalty into card advantage or a large mana burst.
