It has haste, grows with +1/+1 counters whenever an opponent's creature dies, and can sacrifice another creature to gain indestructible until end of turn. Its combination of haste, self-protection, and a death-trigger growth engine makes it suited to aggressive or sacrifice-themed black decks.
