Whenever one or more creatures you control attack, each defending player divides all creatures without flying they control into a "left" pile and a "right" pile. Then, for each attacking creature you control, choose "left" or "right." That creature can't be blocked this combat except by creatures with flying and creatures in a pile with the chosen label.

Raging River is a rare enchantment from the 30th Anniversary Edition that costs two mana. Its triggered ability asks defending players to split their nonflying creatures into left and right piles and then lets each attacking creature choose a pile it can’t be blocked by except for flyers and creatures in the chosen pile. The effect creates asymmetric blocking choices that can enable evasive damage or favorable trades for the attacker.
