Power Sink (30A-369) is an instant from the 30th Anniversary Edition that functions as a conditional counterspell for {X}{U}. Its resolution forces the target spell's controller to pay X or have all their lands with mana abilities tapped and lose unspent mana, creating a strong tempo swing and punishing large plays. Originally printed in Urza's Saga and reprinted across sets as a counterspell variant, often used as a tempo tool.
