Rules

Ward—Pay 2 life. Other creatures you control enter with an additional +1/+1 counter on them for each opponent who lost life this turn. Whenever you cast a Lizard spell, Gev deals 1 damage to target opponent.

Rulings

Gev's second ability cares whether opponents lost life this turn, not how their life totals changed. For example, an opponent who gained 2 life and lost 1 life in the same turn still lost life. — In the case where Gev and one or more other creatures enter at the same time, those creatures won't enter with additional +1/+1 counters, even if one or more opponents lost life this turn.
